Daily Distance Pace Breaks
Ride around 100 km over 7 to 8 hours. Set a basic speed of 20 km/h and vary it depending on road conditions. Reducing riding distance by 20% a day will ensure that fatigue will not linger on until the following day. Take one break every hour. Each break should be about 5 to 10 minutes. Taking too long a break can actually increase fatigue and should be avoided.
