Cyclo-cross bicycles use knobby tubulars.
Cyclo-cross bicycles are basically road racing bicycles of a lighter construction that makes them easy to carry. To prevent dirt and mud from collecting between the frame and tires, the chainstay is lengthened and separate.

Cyclo-cross also include courses where riders run while
carrying their bicycles.
Cyclo-cross is a race held on cross-country trails for road racers on their off season. It is a competition for all-around title and finish order.

Starting Area Pit Stop Portaging
The starting section must be at least 500 m long and 6 m wide, straight, and not have a downward grade.
This is where riders can exchange wheels or bicycles or perform maintenance during a race.
The section where riders run while carrying their bicycles are a maximum of 80 m long.
Shower Room Bridges Rideability
Along with facilities for racers to clean their equipment, there should be a shower room with hot and cold running water. Bridges must be at least 4 m wide and have guard railings. At least three-quarters of the course must be rideable on bicycle.
Course Width Finish Section Guard Railing
The course over its entire length must be at least 3 m wide. The finish section must be at least 200 m long and 6 m wide, straight, flat, and not have an upward grade. The 50 to 100 m of course before the finish line has guard railing.
