Competition to the very limits of human aerobic ability.
Racers ride alone on a 1,000 m track, with the best time winning. This is a severe and trying event similar to a 400 m field and track race.
Race Development Race Elements Start
There are no preliminary heats. The winner is whoever finishes with the fastest time. All of the following have a subtle impact on the race:
Nerves
Changes in physical condition
Impact of temperature and climate
Metabolic function (switch from anaerobic to aerobic state)
Bicycle performance
Gear ratio
Standing start using standing blocks. The starting position depends on the length of the track.

Track Racing Bicycle Specially Designed for Time Trials
A distinctive feature of this bicycle is its solid construction with a funny shape that include a DH bar that enables the rider to achieve a low wind-resistance position.
